NBT and Pyramid of Arts have joined forces to offer young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities the opportunity to become involved in ‘Dance Dreams’, a unique dance and creative arts project in Leeds. The programme will be delivered by Caroline Burn, NBT Dance Education Officer, along with NBT musicians and arts workers from Pyramid of Arts. The sessions are aimed at engaging the young people in dance, music and creative expression.
This week is an intensive training week for students on our Yorkshire Young Dancers’ scheme. NBT is the first Centre for Advanced Training in the country, in partnership with the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, and the only one for Classical dance. During the week they will take part in classical ballet and contemporary classes as well as learning some dances from the repertoire
It is also the final week of training for students on our International Summer School who have been strengthening and improving their classical, contemporary and jazz techniques at the Northern Ballet Theatre studios in Leeds.
