On Friday 30 January we welcomed our local MP Greg Mulholland to our West Park studios. It was Greg’s first visit to NBT and we had the opportunity to tell him all about the Company’s productions and touring work, our recent success at the National Dance Awards and our new building project. Greg learnt more about the work NBT delivers in the local community including workshops and projects with school and community groups, dance classes for adults and children and training for 125 talented young dancers through our Associate and Professional programmes. He had the opportunity to talk to company dancers Hannah Bateman and Kenneth Tindall, dance students Lydia Lee, Matthew Topliss and Matthew Valentine. Greg enjoyed watching rehearsals of Swan Lake and toured our West Park facilities.

Greg Mulholland has been Lib Dem MP for Leeds North West since May 2005. He lives in Otley and is a Member of the Select Committee on Work and Pensions and is Liberal Democrat shadow Health and Older people’s spokesperson
